In the past, it was more prevalent in upper and upper-middle-income countries, but now it is gaining ground in lower-middle-income countries as well. NCDs are responsible for 75-90 percent of premature deaths in people between the ages of 30 and 69. Primary health care is an important component in controlling NCDs. In some nations, that number rises to 70 percent.

The scope of PSF production in Bangladesh is vast due to the country's low labor costs and availability of raw materials. Additionally, the government's support for the textile industry through incentives and infrastructure development provides further opportunities for PSF production.
